Limits and quotas

The limits your plan sets, the sizes each product comes in, connection limits, API limits, and how to get more room.

Limits keep every organisation’s resources predictable and protect you from runaway costs. See yours at any time in Settings → Limits & quotas.

Plan limits#

Each plan sets how much an organisation can run. These are the defaults:

Projects and apps each have their own count with the same limit. Plan prices, transfer included and every other plan feature are in Compare every limit.

During the free trial, smaller limits apply until your first payment. See Free trial.

Resource sizes#

ProductSizes
Plexivo App RunnerFrom 0.125 vCPU and 256 MB to 16 vCPU and 64 GB, in standard, high-CPU and high-memory families.
Plexivo Postgres and Plexivo MySQLFrom 0.25 vCPU and 512 MB to 16 vCPU and 64 GB, in standard, high-memory and ultra-memory families. Storage from 5 GB to 16,000 GB; storage can grow but not shrink.
Plexivo CacheFrom 256 MB to 64 GB of memory.
Plexivo KubernetesEach pod from 0.05 to 16 vCPU and 128 MB to 64 GB, with up to 50 pods per workload.

Every size counts towards your plan’s vCPU and memory limits. The create form lists every size Plexivo offers; a size that needs room arranged in advance is marked contact sales.

Connection limits#

Each database and cache has a connection limit set by its memory, shown on the create form before you buy. It keeps that limit; Plexivo’s own monitoring and backups connect separately and never use yours. The full table is in Connections at every size on the pricing page.

API limits#

Requests to the API and API keys have their own limits. See Rate limits and Limits on every key.

Asking for more#

  • Change your plan in Settings → Plan. An upgrade’s limits apply at once; a move to a smaller plan applies when your paid term ends.
  • Need more than a plan offers? Open a ticket in Support, or talk to sales about Enterprise.

When a create would pass a limit, Plexivo refuses it with quota_exceeded and tells you which limit, so nothing is half-made.
