Organisations

An organisation is your Plexivo account. It owns everything you run, the team that runs it, the plan it is on and the wallet that pays for it. In some places the console calls it a workspace.

What an organisation holds#

• Projects and the resources in them.
• Members, each with a role.
• One plan and one wallet.
• Its billing details: billing country and state, and a GSTIN if it has one.
• Its settings: time zone, session limits, API keys and the audit log.

The billing country is set at sign-up and cannot be changed later. You can change the organisation’s name, billing state, GSTIN and time zone in Settings → Organisation; changing the billing details needs the owner role.

Members and roles#

Every member has one of three roles:

The person who creates the organisation is its owner. The owner’s role cannot be changed, and the owner cannot be removed. Custom policies, in Access → Roles & policies, can add permissions to a member.

Invite your team#

Owners and admins invite people from Access: choose Invite member, enter the Email address, pick a Role (Admin or Member) and choose Send invite. The invitation link works once and expires after 7 days. The new member sets their own password.

An admin can be changed to a member and back. Removing a member takes effect at once and also ends their API keys and CLI sessions; they receive an email.

More than one organisation#

You can belong to several organisations, for example your own and a client’s. When you do, the top of the sidebar shows the organisation you are working in; choose it to switch to another. Each organisation has its own plan, wallet and members.

If you belong to several organisations, the strictest session limits among them apply to your sign-in.
