Plans and billing
A plan sets your organisation’s features and limits; each resource has its own monthly price, charged by the day from your wallet.
What you pay has two parts: a plan for your organisation, and the resources you run. Both come from your wallet, in US dollars. Prices are on the pricing page, and the console shows each price before you approve it.
The four plans#
- Developer
- For your next idea. Plexivo App Runner, Plexivo Postgres, Plexivo MySQL and Plexivo Cache, with the free trial.
- Startup
- For teams shipping a product: apps that stay on, autoscaling, shared or dedicated vCPU, Plexivo Kubernetes and a read replica.
- Business
- For customer-critical apps: dedicated vCPU everywhere and automatic database failover.
- Enterprise
- Contracted scale, priced for your workload. Talk to sales.
Every limit, side by side, is in Compare every limit. Change your plan in Settings → Plan.
Yearly or monthly#
A plan fee is paid Yearly by default: twelve months of the plan’s monthly price, paid up front for a term of 365 days. Monthly costs 20% more by default, rounded up to a whole dollar. Choose with the Yearly and Monthly switch in Settings → Plan.
- Upgrade, or move from monthly to yearly: the unused part of what you have paid is credited against the new term, which starts at once.
- Downgrade or cancel, or move from yearly to monthly: nothing is charged now, and the change takes effect when the paid term ends. A yearly plan runs to the end of its year.
- Renewal is charged from your wallet on the day the term ends. If the wallet cannot pay, the plan keeps working for a grace period of seven days while owners and admins are emailed; after it, the organisation moves to Developer limits. Nothing is deleted.
Resource charges#
Every app, database and cache has a monthly price that depends on its size. It is charged by the day:
- A full day costs the monthly price divided by the number of days in that month, so a whole month costs exactly the monthly price.
- A resource created, resized, stopped or deleted during a day is charged for the hours it ran at each price.
- Each day’s charge is taken from your wallet once your organisation’s day ends. In India, days follow India Standard Time.
Instances that autoscaling adds are charged the same way, for the time they run. Plexivo Kubernetes is charged from what your running pods request: vCPU, memory and persistent storage, plus a charge per pod.
Stop and delete#
- Stop a resource and its compute is released; you pay only for its storage until you start it again. Its data and backups are kept.
- Delete a resource and its charges end. A deleted database’s backups are kept for 7 days by default, then deleted permanently.
Build minutes#
Each plan includes build minutes every month. Extra minutes cost US$0.01 each by default. Time spent waiting for a build to start is never billed.
Taxes and invoices#
Prices exclude taxes. Indian customers pay 18% GST and receive a GST tax invoice in rupees for every wallet top-up. See Wallet and currency.
Ways to pay less#
- Commitments: commit to a monthly amount for one or three years and pay less for your resources.
- Migration credits: moving from another provider? Ask for credits against your Plexivo bill.
