Billing operations
Add money, read your usage, download invoices with GST, set a spend budget, commit for savings and change your plan.
Everything about paying for Plexivo is in Billing in the sidebar. This page is the how-to; Plans and billing and Wallet and currency explain how charges work. Everyone in your organisation can see the balance and usage. Adding money, invoices, budgets, commitments and plan changes need the owner role, or a policy that grants billing.
Add money#
- Choose an amount. In Billing → Add money, enter the Amount to add (US$) or pick a quick amount: $10, $25, $50 or $100.
- Add GST details if you are a business in India: open GST details for your invoice (optional) and check the GSTIN, legal name and billing address.
- Pay. Check the Payment summary and choose Pay. The price you see holds for 15 minutes.
In India you pay in rupees by UPI, card or netbanking; elsewhere, in US dollars by card. Payment happens on a secure checkout page; Plexivo never stores your card or UPI details. Money reaches your wallet once the payment is confirmed, and a receipt is emailed to you.
Invoices#
Every top-up comes with its own invoice, emailed to your owners and admins with the PDF attached. Find them all in Billing → Invoices; open one to Download PDF or Email a copy to yourself.
GST invoices for India#
- Each top-up gets a GST tax invoice in rupees, numbered in one series per financial year, such as
PX/2627/000001. - 18% GST is added to the amount you pay, never taken from your wallet credit. Within the supplier’s state it is split into CGST and SGST; from another state it is IGST.
- Add your GSTIN in Settings → Organisation or at checkout, and it appears on every invoice. Its state code sets the place of supply.
Customers outside India receive an invoice in US dollars, marked as an export of services with no GST.
See where the money goes#
- Billing (the overview) shows your Wallet balance, This month so far, Projected this month and recent Transactions.
- Billing → Usage shows what each resource has cost this month, your charges day by day, and what everything running now costs per day.
Owners and admins are emailed when about a week of charges is left in the wallet, and again at about two days. See When your wallet runs low.
Set a spend budget#
A budget tells you when this month’s spending reaches a level you choose. It alerts you and never stops anything.
- In Billing, open the Auto-recharge tab and find Budget limits.
- Enter a Monthly budget in US dollars, and under Alert me when I reach choose any of 50%, 75%, 90% and 100%.
- Choose Save budget.
When spending crosses a threshold, the alert appears on that page and is emailed to your owners and admins, once a month for each threshold. Months follow your organisation’s time zone.
To cap what one script or tool can spend, give its API key a monthly spend limit.
Commit and save#
In Billing → Commitments, commit to a monthly amount for 12 or 36 months and pay less for your resources. See Commitments.
Change your plan#
In Settings → Plan, choose Yearly or Monthly, then Upgrade to or Move to a plan. The dialog shows exactly what is charged now and what each renewal costs.
- An upgrade starts at once, and what is left of your current term is taken off the price.
- A move to a smaller plan, or a cancellation, takes effect at the end of the term you have paid for. Until then, Keep and your plan’s name (for example Keep Startup) undoes it.
Credits#
- SLA credits are added to your wallet automatically when a covered resource misses its availability commitment. See SLA and credits.
- Migration credits help when you move from another provider. See Migration credits.
