Billing for Plexivo Kubernetes
Plexivo Kubernetes prices each hour from the CPU, memory and storage your running pods request, pod by pod, and nothing for servers or idle headroom.
You pay for what your running pods request, while they run. There is no charge for servers, for the cluster, or for capacity you do not use.
What is charged#
Every hour, Plexivo reads the pods that are running in your workload and prices four parts at your plan’s rates:
| Part | Measured as |
|---|---|
| Requested vCPU | The CPU your running pods request, init containers included. |
| Requested memory | The memory your running pods request. |
| Pods | A small amount for each running pod. |
| Persistent storage | The GB of each volume claim a running pod mounts, counted once, plus any ephemeral storage its containers request. |
Before you deploy, the console shows the price part by part under What you pay for. Each day’s hours are added up and taken from your wallet once your organisation’s day ends, like every other resource. See Plans and billing.
Examples#
- Eight pods running all hour cost eight pods’ requests for that hour.
- A workload scaled to zero costs nothing that hour.
Every kind of controller counts: Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Jobs and CronJobs.
If a reading fails#
If Plexivo cannot read your pods in an hour, that hour is charged at the workload’s minimum: its minimum pods at the size you chose. You are never charged more than that for an hour Plexivo could not see.
See what you pay#
- The Plexivo Kubernetes list shows each workload’s Cost / mo beside its pods, CPU, memory and storage.
- Billing → Usage shows what each resource has cost this month.
Each hour’s reading is kept, so a bill can be explained pod by pod. The API returns the last seven days of them:
curl -s $API/kubernetes/$WORKLOAD/usage -H "Authorization: Bearer $PLEXIVO_TOKEN"
