Plexivo MySQL is managed MySQL 8.4 LTS for WordPress, WooCommerce, Laravel, Magento and any app that speaks MySQL. Plexivo looks after the servers, backups and patches. Your database runs in Mumbai, and its backups are copied to Hyderabad, so your data and its backups stay in India.

Your app user can create databases, tables, views, routines, triggers, events and other users. Plexivo keeps the server’s own settings and system schemas for itself, so your user cannot change server variables or take over the server.

Versions#

Plexivo MySQL runs MySQL 8.4 LTS, supported until 30 April 2032. Security and bug-fix updates within 8.4 are applied for you in your maintenance window.

The server uses utf8mb4 with the utf8mb4_0900_ai_ci collation. Each session uses your organisation’s time zone, India Standard Time in India.

Sizes and connection limits#

Each size has a fixed number of connections for your users, shown on the create form before you buy. By default the limits are as below. Plexivo’s own monitoring and backups have their own connections and never use your share.

The limit applies to each database user, and the server keeps room for that many connections from all your users together. Size your app’s connection pool below it: every PHP-FPM worker, queue worker and scheduled job holds a connection. Sizes, vCPUs and prices are on Pricing.

For agencies and businesses One Plexivo MySQL can hold the databases of several sites: your app user can create a database and a user for each site. The size’s connection limit is shared by all of them, so choose the size for the sites together.

In the console#
