Plexivo Postgres
Managed PostgreSQL in Mumbai, and a complete backend for web and mobile apps: Auth, Data API, Realtime, GraphQL and Functions.
Plexivo Postgres is managed PostgreSQL with backups, recovery to any point in time, standbys and read replicas. It is also a complete backend as a service: one database gives your web or mobile app sign-in, an HTTPS API, live updates, GraphQL and server-side functions, with row-level security deciding what each user can do. If you know Firebase, you will feel at home, with the full power of SQL underneath.
Two ways to connect#
- From your server, such as a Plexivo App Runner app or Plexivo Kubernetes, use the connection string over TLS with any PostgreSQL driver or ORM.
- From your web or mobile app, skip the server entirely: the Data API serves your tables over HTTPS, and row-level security decides what each signed-in user can read and write.
Both are on the database’s Connect tab. See Create your first database.
Versions#
New databases use PostgreSQL 17, the recommended version; the create form lists every version you can choose.
Your data, protected#
- Backups. A full backup every day and the write-ahead log archived continuously, so you can restore to any moment within your backup period. A restore always creates a new database, so the original keeps serving while you check the copy.
- Standby. Add a standby and Plexivo promotes it automatically if the primary fails, at the same address. Every Business database includes one.
- Read replicas spread your reads, on Startup and above.
- Patches are applied in a weekly maintenance window you choose, after an email telling you what and when.
In the console#
Each database has tabs for Overview, Connect, Network, Table editor, SQL editor, Data API, GraphQL, Functions, Realtime, Authentication, Policies, Backups, Replicas, Metrics, Logs, Maintenance and Settings.
Price#
Each database has a monthly price for its size, charged by the day. See Pricing for sizes, connection limits and prices.
